The Our Values Are project was created to help businesses visibly declare their commitment to equality, respect, diversity, and kindness in our digital world. Just as storefronts can display symbols of inclusivity on their doors and windows, we believe online businesses should have a way to clearly communicate their values to customers.

This project represents countless hours of dedicated work to bring this vision to life. All aspects of the Our Values Are website, from creation and design to development and launch, have been funded by the creator.

Support the Our Values Are project for 2025

In 2025, we will validate this unique concept and measure engagement, usage, and growth. Based on this validation period, we will decide whether to classify Our Values Are as a 501(c) organization. Your donations will go directly to address Our Values Are 2025 launch and current-year expenses. Your donation is not tax-deductible at this point. 

What Goes Into Running Our Values Are

Your contribution directly supports the launching and the annual maintenance of this project. By covering our operational costs, your donation ensures the Our Values Are website remains available and the image accessible to businesses that wish to stand up for these important principles.

Operational Costs

To keep this project running, we maintain several essential services. These include domain name registration, website hosting, third-party website features, email infrastructure, physical mailing address, security features, regular maintenance, and updates. These costs ensure that our Our Values Are image remains accessible to businesses in 2025.

Beyond our predictable expenses, we also encounter variable costs. These include managing unexpected surges in website traffic, website content updates such as news, and email support. These costs fluctuate based on the project's growth and the increasing number of businesses joining our community.

Future Plans

A crucial part of our mission is helping more small businesses discover and implement the Our Values Are image. Your support helps fund:

  • Supporting HTML/image to be used in iframe by businesses hosted in a CDN. This will ensure easier adoption and stats 

  • Adding a dashboard to show how many businesses and organizations are displaying the Our Values Are image

  • Add a store to purchase merchandise with the Our Values Are image on it

  • Targeting outreach to small business communities

  • Creating implementation guides and resources

  • Building awareness through small business networks

  • Responding to businesses with questions or technical needs

  • Developing case studies highlighting businesses using the image

  • Create free businesses and organizations directory to promote them within Our Values Are website

The more businesses that display these values, the stronger our collective voice becomes in supporting equality, respect, diversity, and kindness.
